Setting up your Storefront

Shown above is the Storefront
Template. This page can be viewed by clicking on the "My Storefront" tab located on your account page.
- 1. Storefront Logo - You can upload your own Storefront logo.
- 2. Welcome Message - Use this space for a welcome message, slogan, or any other
text you would like visitors to see when they visit your Storefront.
- 3. Categories - This section allows you to set up your own category
structure for your store. By default, the very first link will be your
username but you can change this to anything that you wish, such as the
name of your store. If this is your first time accessing your
Storefront, you will not see any categories. The categories must be added using the
Storefront C-Panel as outlined below.
- 4. Pages - This section is used for additional pages. The additional pages are used to display information to your customers. You can create as
many pages as you would like. If this is your first time accessing the Storefront, you will not see any page links because you haven't created any pages.
- 5. News Letter - Visitors can input their email address to subscribe to your
newsletter. The newsletter is also discussed in the next section.
- 6. Listings - This is where your auctions and/or classifieds will be
displayed within your Storefront. If this is your first time in the
Storefront, you will not have any listings shown here.
Note: Currently, you are the only one who is able to view this page. Your page doesn't become "Published" until you select the "Turn Store On" option in your Storefront control panel.
Setting up your Storefront - Using the Storefront Control Panel
You will use the site's Storefront Control Panel to set up your
Storefront. To access the Control Panel, login to your account and select the Storefront C-Panel tab. The page shown below is your Control Panel page. To begin setting up your Storefront or to access any of the features, use the links located in the "Storefront Control Panel" box. Only you are able to view the Control Panel pages.
- Turn Store On - Select this option when you are completely finished setting up your Storefront. Selecting this option will "Publish" your site.
- Turn Store Off - Select this option when you do not want your Storefront viewable to the public.
- Preview - Select this option to preview any changes made before saving them.
- Pages - This is where you add Categories or Pages to your Storefront.
- Newsletter - Select this to access your Newsletter and information pertaining to it.
- Customize - This is where you upload your custom Storefront image (logo) and set up your welcome message.
- Reports Legend - This is a daily "Traffic Report" to your Storefront. The "Unique Visits" are displayed in the left of the bar diagram. The "Total Visits" are displayed in the right of the bar diagram. The date is displayed to the right of the bar diagram. The Reports Legend is a nice feature because it allows you to keep track of daily visitors to your Storefront.
Setting up your Categories and Pages
Select "Pages" from your Storefront Control Panel. This section will cover #3 and #4 (Refer to the image at the top of the page)
- Home Category Name - This will be the "Main" category name. You may use your Storefront name here if you wish.
- Add new Category - This adds Categories
to your Storefront.
- Add Page - Select this to add a Page to your Storefront.
- Save Button - Select this button to save any of your changes.
Edit "Categories"
- Edit - Select this link to rename the Category.
- Delete - Select this link to delete a specific category.
- Save - Use this button to save any editing changes made to a category.
Edit "Other Pages"
- Page Name - Use this box rename your page.
- Page Link Text - Use this box to rename the page link.
- Page Body - Use this section to fully customize any page. The body editor allows you to upload your own HTML and makes customizing your pages a snap.
Note: When editing, remember to use the "Preview" link located in the Storefront Control Panel. The "Preview" link will show immediate saved changes made to your Storefront.

Setting up your Newsletter
When visitors view your Storefront, they will have the option of subscribing to your newsletter. A newsletter is beneficial to your business because it helps to keep you in touch with your customer base, giving periodic price and inventory updates as well as weekly specials.
Select "Newsletter" from your Storefront Control Panel. This section will cover #5 (Refer to the image at the top of the page)
Newsletter Options
- Allow new newsletter subscriptions - Select "yes" if you would like to have a Storefront Newsletter or "no" if you did not want a Storefront newsletter.
- Current Subscriptions - This displays the total number of newsletter subscribers.
- Remove Subscribers - To remove a subscriber, highlight their email address, put a checkmark in the box to confirm it and select the "Save and Remove" button.
- Reset Form - This deselects your highlighted email choice by resetting the form.
Send a Newsletter
- Subject - Select the subject title of your newsletter and enter it in the box provided.
- Body editor - Using this section will allow you to fully customize the body of your newsletter.
- Send - Sends out the newsletter to your subscribers.
Customizing your Storefront by adding a Logo and "Welcome" message
Adding a customized logo to your Storefront is a great idea because it helps identify your business. When creating your logo, be sure that you include any text and/or business name on the image itself. You will not be able to add any text to the image once it's been uploaded. Also note the width of the image, be sure that the image is not too wide. When designing your logo image, keep in mind that we have a maximum Width & Height limit of 1400 X 400 pixels and a size limit of 500KB.
Select "Customize" from your Storefront Control Panel. This section will cover #1 and #2 (Refer to the image at the top of the page)
Logo
- Upload a logo - Use the browse to select your logo image. Once you've selected your image, use the "save" button at the bottom of the page.
- Width & Height - The numbers displayed in these boxes are the actual width and height of the uploaded image. You can adjust the size of your uploaded image by changing the pixels in the corresponding box. The one thing that you should keep in mind is if you adjust the pixels too much, it will have an adverse affect on the image.
- Storefront Name - Decide on a name for your Storefront and enter it in the box provided. To see if the name is available, select the "Check Availability" button.
Welcome Message
- Welcome Note - Decide on a greeting and enter that welcome message in the body editor. You may leave this blank if you wish.
