My Account Tutorial


After you've created your account, we recommend that you adjust a few of the personal settings on the account page.

 

The first setting is located at the bottom of the page. Select the "Privacy Settings" tab and choose the setting Private Communication.

The next setting to review can be accessed by selecting the "My Account" tab. Once you've selected the "My Account" tab, select the "Edit my Info" button. This page displays all of your personal information which can be edited at any time. The only personal information that will become viewable (when listing an item) is your City, State and Country.

If you use a PayPal account, this will be the next setting to configure. You can be access this setting by selecting the "My Account" tab. The only information needed to configure this setting is your email address. Enter your PayPal email address and hit save.

 

We will now give a brief description outlining exactly what the Tabs represent on your account page

 

New Auction - Adds a new Auction listing to your cart.

(Resume) - Resumes current action (Adding items to your cart)


New Classified
- Adds a new Classified listing to your cart.

(Cancel & Remove) - Cancels and removes current action (Removing items from your cart)

 

Store Subscription - Adds a Storefront subscription to your cart.

My Storefront - If you have a Storefront subscription, this is where you can access your Storefront page. This is the page that is viewable to customers.

(Storefront C-Panel) - This is the control panel for your Storefront subscription. Any changes that need to be made to your Storefront, can be accessed here. This page is viewable only to you.

 

My Account - Use this to access or edit any personal information.

My Inbox - Use this to view your messages.

My Current Bids - Any current bids which you have placed are shown here. This page will either display that you are currently the high bidder or it will display that you have been outbid. If you've won an item, you can use this page to contact the seller to make payment arrangements. You can also view your bids which were placed on recently expired auctions.

Feedback - Use this to access your feedback or to view open feedbacks which need your attention.

Listing Filters - This is a powerful feature that can save you a lot of time. The Listing Filter takes keywords, names, etc. (that you choose) and filters all new listings using those terms. When the system finds a match, you will receive an email notifying you that a match has been found. The listing filters will also search through the "Filter by Year" entries. For a detailed description on how the "Filter by Year" works, please refer to the "Listing an Item" tutorial.

My Favorites - Use this to access your "Favorites" list.

My Current Listings - Use this to view any of your current listings. You can renew a listing, edit a listing, remove a listing or even mark your item as sold. Having the ability to "Edit a Listing" is a special feature. When listing your business in our directory, it is defined as a "Classified Listing" therefore you'll be able to edit the listing at any time. Editing the listing details is beneficial to your business if the inventory routinely changes, a good example of this would be...let's say that you're a restaurant owner, you will now have the ability to change the lunch and dinner specials on a daily basis.

My Expired Listings - Use this to view any of your expired listings and the details of that listing. You can also renew a listing from this page. The "Copy to New Listing" link allows you to completely copy a listing, which saves you the time of manually reentering all of the required information. This is a nice feature if you wanted to place the same listing in more than one category.

Print Signs & Flyers - This gives you the ability to print out any of your listings. These features are important because they are allowing you to reach a wider consumer base with a physical element. There are countless scenarios as to why a consumer hasn't viewed your listing. One possible scenario could be that a potential customer doesn't even use the internet and this is why we recommend that you use the physical element. When you choose the "Print Sign" feature, it automatically puts your listing in a "Sign" format and adds a "For Sale" header. When you choose the "Print Flyer" feature, it automatically puts your listing in a "Flyer" format and doesn't add a header. We set up the flyer page, in this way, because it allows you to insert your own header text with a marker thus giving you flexibility across all categories. A few examples of what to write for your own personalized header text may be: "Yard Sale" "Lost Dog" "For Rent" "Grand Opening" and so on.

Privacy Settings - Use this to change your privacy settings when messaging other users.
